In a historic move for the travel and tech industries, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and VNU Asia Pacific have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to drive technological advancements within the travel sector across Asia Pacific. This strategic partnership sets the stage for the debut of Travel & Tech Asia 2025, a major event set for July 2–3, 2025, at the prestigious Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand.

The MoU was formally signed on November 29, 2024, at PATA’s Bangkok headquarters by PATA CEO Noor Ahmad Hamid and VNU Asia Pacific General Manager Chaisong Churitt. The collaboration promises to foster innovation, shaping the future of travel technology and offering exciting opportunities for the industry in the region.

Mr Hamid emphasised the importance of technology in shaping the travel and tourism industry, stating, “This collaboration with VNU Asia Pacific, a distinguished PATA member, leverages their extensive expertise in staging tech-related events across the Asia Pacific region. Timely and relevant, this inaugural event will address the growing demand for travel technology, cybersecurity, cross-border payments, and the broader evolution of the travel and tourism industry.”

“VNU Asia Pacific is honoured to partner with PATA, an organization that has been instrumental in promoting sustainable growth in travel and tourism across the Asia-Pacific region,” said Mr Churitt. “Through this partnership, we aim to create a meaningful impact by providing a platform where industry professionals can explore emerging trends, build strategic alliances, and embrace the innovations shaping the future of travel and tourism.”

Hosted by VNU Asia Pacific, the inaugural Travel & Tech Asia 2025 will be a key B2B trade fair focused on driving the evolution of travel technology in Thailand and the broader Asia Pacific region. Centered around digital transformation, sustainability, and smart tourism, the event will provide a vital platform for tourism industry leaders to collaborate, innovate, and promote sustainable growth, while fostering powerful strategic partnerships.

“The inaugural Travel & Tech Asia 2025 is more than just an exhibition—it represents a turning point for the travel and tourism industry,” noted VNU Asia Pacific Vice President – Business Panadda Kongma. “This platform will redefine how we travel and connect with the world while reinforcing tourism as a key driver of economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region.”
