London – March 19, 2025 – The World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (WSHA) has announced a significant enhancement to its leadership team, aimed at driving the Net Positive transformation in the global hospitality sector.

Four distinguished industry experts—Isabel Novoa, Caty Batten, Nelson Garcia-Narvaez, and Bolaji Omotade—have joined the Alliance, bringing invaluable experience to accelerate sustainable initiatives and promote inclusive, innovative practices across the hospitality industry.

Glenn Mandziuk, CEO of the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, expressed his excitement about the new additions to the team.

Meet the New Leaders

  • Isabel Novoa – Head of Global Accelerator Programme Isabel Novoa brings a wealth of expertise in sustainable tourism, particularly within South America. Holding an MBA, a Master’s in Business Innovation, and certifications in sustainable business practices, Isabel has held leadership roles in organizations like the International Social Tourism Organization (ISTO) and Grupo Novojet, a leading Chilean tour operator. In her new role, Isabel will lead initiatives that promote inclusion, employability, and sustainable innovation in hospitality. “I’m thrilled to join the Alliance, which is results-driven and committed to future-proofing the industry,” Isabel shared.
  • Caty Batten – Net Positive Innovation Lead Caty Batten, with over 20 years of experience in sustainability and international development, joins the Alliance as the Net Positive Innovation Lead. She has a proven track record of impactful initiatives, including launching the Oxfam brand in Switzerland. As a co-founder of Intaconnected, Caty specializes in designing pathways to Net Positive impact. In her new role, she will host Solution Labs throughout 2025, fostering collaboration to tackle the hospitality industry’s most pressing challenges. “The hospitality sector can lead the way in making a positive impact globally,” Caty stated.
  • Nelson Garcia-Narvaez – Director of Finance and Operations With more than 30 years of managerial experience, Nelson Garcia-Narvaez brings extensive knowledge in finance and operations. A certified public accountant, Nelson will focus on promoting Net Positive Hospitality through strategic financial planning and risk management. “This organization aligns with my passion for financial sustainability,” said Nelson. “I aim to build a solid financial foundation to enhance our services and impact.”
  • Bolaji Omotade – Head of Finance & Administration Bolaji Omotade, an FCCA-qualified accountant, brings expertise in financial management, governance, and operational efficiency to the Alliance. With a strong background in investments oversight and regulatory compliance, Bolaji will ensure the Alliance’s financial sustainability while advancing its sustainability mission. “I’m excited to join the team and integrate financial stewardship with sustainable practices,” Bolaji remarked.
